BREAKING TRADITION....SHOULD WE?

We all know that it is tradition for men to get down on one knee and propose to the woman and ask her for her hand in marriage...it seems that in a time where we as a society are accepting homosexual relationships and marriages...a woman proposing to a man wouldn't be that far fetched right....WRONG...after watching an episode of LOVE AND HIP HOP... Jim Jone's girlfriend Chrissy, who has been with him for 6 years and lived with him for five of those years, did something very BRAVE... Chrissy stated that she was tired of waiting on him to propose to her and she decided to take matters into her own hands and SHE PROPOSED TO HIM.. shocker right ...well Chrissy received much feedback on this and it wasn't all POSITIVE .. many of the women that I have talked to as well as individuals who posted comments on blog sites pretty much thought she SHOULD NOT have proposed to him...but is what Chrissy did truly that BAD... she felt the only way to get results that she wanted was to be bold and ask her man to marry her...so my question to EVERYONE would be.... should the woman ever propose to the MAN or should some traditions be kept just that...TRADITIONS

CELEBRATION TIME..OR PRAYING TIME..

JUST LAST NIGHT THE WORLD WATCHED AS PRESIDENT OBAMA ANNOUNCED THE DEATH OF OSAMA BIN LADEN.... I WATCHED AS HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE GATHERED OUTSIDE THE WHITE HOUSE AS WELL AS GROUND ZERO TO CELEBRATE THE DEATH OF A MAN WHOM AMERICA HAS BEEN TRYING TO CAPTURE SINCE SEPTEMBER 11, 2001. NOW DON'T GET ME WRONG OSAMA DID A LOT OF WRONGFUL THINGS BUT HE WILL HAVE TO ANSWER TO THOSE THINGS AND TO BE PERFECTLY HONEST...THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA SHOULD HAVE BEEN LEFT COMPLETELY OUT OF WHATEVER WAS GOING ON IN AFGHANISTAN...WE DON'T EVEN HAVE CONTROL IN OUR COUNTRY SO WHY ARE WE TRYING TO CHANGE A COUNTRY THAT COULD CARE LESS ABOUT DEMOCRACY...(SORRY I GOT OFF SUBJECT FOR A MINUTE)... MY TRUE FEELINGS ARE THAT THIS IS NOT A TIME OF CELEBRATION FOR THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA..IT IS TIME TO START PRAYING IF YOU DON'T USUALLY PRAY THEN I SUGGEST YOU START BECAUSE THE DEATH OF OSAMA BIN LADEN IS ANYTHING BUT A CELEBRATION... FOR THOSE WHO THINK THE DEATH OF OSAMA IS THE END OF TERRORISM YOU ARE COMPLETELY WRONG...EVERY LEADER HAS A SUCCESSOR AS QUOTED IN THE NEW YORK TIMES
